MARO TO STAY IN GERMANY!!!!!!?????????

I loved Berlin from the first foot i set in the City. It may seem touristy, but not that touristy like the Crazy Amsterdam. Vintage Buildings that make me think of Jinja and i really believe it would be a great idea to leave Jinja's old \vintage buildings untouched and may  be re built or renovated but keeping their style and Original architecture. I wish!
This Besides the Beauty, would keep the History of the 70s during the rein of Idd Amin Dada and also maintain or even increase on the tourists in Uganda and Jinja in particular. Revenue!
Berlin taught me many but what i found important is the way Democracy is exercised  in the Country of Germany. Like the decision on whether to build on the land that was abandoned by the government years ago. This place used to be an Airport also Air force base with history of raids by the British and United states of America (that is in the 1930s). Of late, the government had a debate with its nationals on whether to let it stay a park or play ground as it is been or to build some thing on it? The people chose to keep it and the Government respected that.  Democracy!
Read about it here:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/3527331/Berlins-Tempelhof-airport-to-be-turned-into-a-park.html

Parks and Play grounds are free. People work so hard and have to have time with their kids and also as we always learnt ''work with out play makes ....'' hope you remember that one. lol.
I believe the African governments have to do the same and make more play grounds and make more room for Events and parties for the nation. A nation to me is like a school. Headmaster has to care that co-calicular activities were on the program (Sports and breaks), Food , Security\Militery and police: Asari ,Finances; the bursar did all that that the treasurer does for a country any ways, back to my point: Why pay for botanical garden? Why pay a lot of taxes to entertain your people! People litter because they have a mentality of '' i paid my money'' That's if we are saying many people at the gardens dirt en them. But, Putting up more exciting games and well planed play grounds by the government wont be a problem Actually, i thought of a big stadium-like theatre that covers to at least hold the biggest events. and Please, not only one.

''MARO FOR MAYOR 2016'' (My lesson from europe)

Speaking my mind, i could stand fro mayor Jinja Town Now!

I have come to learn why we are not moving a step forward at all in terms of develpolment, not only Jinja as my City but, Uganda at large. For so many reasons Germany is supposed to be in our (African) development state the biggest reason being she was one of the most hit countries after the 2nd world war. (the end of the Second World War on 8 May 1945/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/End_of_World_War_II_in_Europe) .   Yes i get it, its the world war, so you may say it affected the whole world but, when America gave Germany the funds for recovery after the war, the German and their leaders from Theodor Heuss from 1949 to 1959, West germanyWilly Brandt (1913–1992) etc,  cc  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshall_Plan ,used the funds to create Jobs, some being the re-construction its self; Jobs at the construction sites for the nationals. Bank loans helped natives to re-build their lives and businesses,
Africa can develop with patriotic, Focused leaders who have the love for development The amounts of money we get from donnors each year can facilitate rapid development of a state like Uganda that is not even quoter to that of Gernamy even befor the country's Unification.

For your information, farming was the initial tool plus hard work on these farms, approxmatelly 60 years ago.
When you tour the country its evident that the leaders focused in the Beauty of the nation from ristricting the style and height of buildings in given areas, Organised streets, clean Water in the country, Security in the country, Good roads, If a leader does the above for the nation, No one complains about how much tax they pay..

We do farming and so do they, we pay taxes they pay more, i.e Half of every individuals' salary is tax;

"We only want to get power to only build the parts where we come from but how about the country you come from"
WE CAN CHANGE OUR OWN.

WHY 40% OF PROCEEDS FROM MARO CONCERT 2014 GOES TO UGANDA HANDS FOR HOPE ORGANISATION:

Uganda Hands for Hope is a non-profit charity working in Uganda’s poorest slum, Namuwongo. Hands for Hope works with the slum’s most vulnerable children and families – 90% of Namuwongo’s residents live below the absolute poverty line (earn less than 75p a day).
The slum itself is an extremely dangerous place for children. Alcoholism in men is rife and sexual exploitation and prostitution is common. Clean water is accessible, but the hygiene levels are extremely poor with untreated medical conditions an everyday problem. Uganda Hands for Hope offers the most vulnerable children an education, a safe place to spend their days, free medical care, emotional support, and two essential meals a day. They also offer livelihood programmes for struggling mothers, reading & writing skills classes for non-sponsored children, and child protection initiatives. All this is achieved through a sponsorship programme (it costs just £20 a month to sponsor a child) and charitable donations.
Find out more or become a sponsor: www.ugandahandsforhope.org info@onlinehope.org

WORKING WITH POSITIVE MINDS

MARO AND CLIENTS THIS YEAR  2014.
We worked with TWAWEZA uganda, an independent East African initiative that was established in 2009 by Rakesh Rajani, a Tanzanian civil society leader who founded HakiElimu and served as its first executive director until the end of 2007. Twaweza’s approach and theory of change is built on the lessons from the HakiElimu experience, as well as wide ranging conversations across East Africa conducted through 2008 and a review of the literature. Hivos provided the incubation space for Twaweza’s development, and currently houses the initiative before it becomes fully independent by 2014. Hivos is registered in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda as a non-profit company (company limited by guarantee with no share capital).
Twaweza’s approach and its policies, systems and procedures reflect a set of values around effective and transparent governance. Five key values and principles guide our work: effectiveness and accountability; transparency and communication; ethical integrity; reflection and learning; and responsibility and initiative.
